#Concepcion Today is our last show @lesartsvalencia of L'Heure Espagnole. It has been such a joy to play a comedy and hear the audience laugh during the performance. I'm not used so much to being funny on stage as I can't say Amneris, Carmen, Eboli, or Fricka are having comic exchanges in their respective opera.

Therefore, it was a blast for my soul, and I learned so much, thank to the fantastic stage directors @mosheleiser and Patrice Caurier.
.
First, I learned that a strait position is wonderful to give you noble stage presence (great for queens and princess) but also rigidity and even unwanted agressivity (not great to be seductive). On the other hand, leaning on a wall with your shoulder, bending your knees, or crossing your arms or touching your face with your hands will make you look more sneaky or mysterious.
.
I also learned to be much more efficient in my acting by moving less. Stillness is not absence when the position means something and when it leads to a precise gesture.
.
I was, of course, familiar with these acting principals, but I never had the opportunity to detail with so much precision on EVERY SINGLE word and gesture.
.
I had talked already many times about my life changing experience with Krzysztof Warlikowski @operadeparis
The one I had here with Moshe and Patrice was for many different reasons, such as wonderful and powerful. I feel so grateful to experience such moments in my career. The entire production was also such a pleasure because of the team led by @michelespotti_conductor : @armandonoguerabaritono @ivan.ayonrivas @manuelfuentes.bass @mikeldi.atxalandabaso and all the teams of @lesartsvalencia

#Paella During my performances in Valencia, I enjoyed time with Dad for a traditional Paella Valenciana cooking lesson. We made a paella for 10 with, of course, round rice, saffron, paprika, rosemary, two types of beans, tomatoes, chicken, rabbit, SNAILS (who said only French eat snails???) and a LOT of salt and olive oil 😅
Have you ever tried the traditional Valencian Paella? Are you used to cooking paella in your family? Tell me ⬇️⬇️⬇️

#Carmen is turning 150 years old today! Well, not the free, spontaneous, and gypsy girl. But the opera George Bizet wrote on Prosper de Mérimée's novel. I had the chance to embody this fearless caracter more than once, and last time was no longer than a few months ago @sfopera with a wonderful team, including a spectacular gypsy vanner Draco.
