Biography
A triumph for Eve-Maud Hubeaux was her stand-in as Amneris in the Salzburg Festival's 2022 production of Aida. She is winner of the Herbert-von-Karajan Award 2024.
Already after her successful appearances at houses such as the Vienna State Opera (Carmen, Don Carlos/Eboli, Mère Marie/Les Dialogues des Carmélites), the Paris Opera (Hamlet/Gertrude, Le soulier de satin/Dona Prouhèze), the Staatsoper Berlin (Don Carlo/Eboli, Aida/Amneris), the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Carmen) the Liceu Barcelona (La Favorite/Léonor de Guzman), and La Monnaie Bruxelles (Tristan und Isolde/Brangäne), Eve-Maud Hubeaux was able to join the new ranks of important singers of this repertoire.
The 2023-2024 season will bring her back to the Vienna State Opera for Carmen, to Opéra de Paris for La Grande Vestale (La Vestale) and to the Salzburg Festival for Laura (La Gioconda) under the direction of Maestro Pappano. She will also make her debut in her favorite role as Princess Eboli at the Hamburg State Opera and at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Her concert repertoire includes for example Bach’s St. Matthew Passion under Leo Hussain, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été conducted by Marko Letonja and La mort de Cléopâtre conducted by Bertrand de Billy, Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder (Orchestre National d’Ile de France), and Das Lied von der Erde under the baton of Fabien Gabel.
Eve-Maud Hubeaux was born in Geneva and studied piano at the Lausanne Conservatory before starting her vocal studies there. She developed her international career from the opera studio of the Opéra National du Rhin after graduating a Master degree in Contract Law at Université de Savoie. Eve-Maud Hubeaux has won numerous competitions, including the International Belvedere Competition (2013) and the 5th Renata Tebaldi International Competition.
Avec son remplacement au pied levé du rôle d’Amneris dans la production d’Aida, Eve-Maud Hubeaux reçu un triomphe au Festival de Salzbourg 2022. Eve-Maud Hubeaux est née à Genève en 1988 et a développé sa carrière internationale depuis l’opéra studio de l’Opéra National du Rhin à Strasbourg après avoir obtenu un Master en Droit des Contrats à l’Université de Savoie. Eve-Maud Hubeaux a remporté de nombreux concours, dont le Concours International du Belvédère (2013) et le 5ème Concours International Renata Tebaldi.
